The St. Tammany Master Gardener Association’s primary mission is to educate and inform others on the best gardening practices. This event is one of two educational seminars and over 20 community and educational projects conducted by St. Tammany Master Gardener volunteers. Their huge plant sale, held each spring, funds scholarships every year for college students pursuing horticultural studies. Local schools, libraries, state parks, and Habitat for Humanity are among the many ongoing projects that are served by the Master Gardener volunteers.
