Join historian, author, and professor emerita in the Arts Department at Millsaps College, Elise Smith, as she shares stories and insights from her latest co-authored publication, Southern Women, Southern Landscapes : Cultural Reflections on the Garden, 1870-1970. Explore how Southern women found inspiration, identity, and purpose through nature, while the changing landscapes of history, culture, and society shaped their lives, creative voices, and gardens.

Dr. Jeff Wilson, Associate Professor of Horticulture at Mississippi State University and Mississippi State AgCenter Coordinator will discuss both natives and non-native plants that will flourish in your gardens.
